Art2Life – Community & Program Coordinator (Full-Time, Remote)

POSITION OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a Community & Program Coordinator to join our team! This is a full-time, employee position for someone who thrives in online spaces, loves building community, is skilled in content creation and digital engagement and is either located in the Pacific Time Zone (preferred) or available to work Pacific Time Zone hours. You’ll manage and support several online communities (both paid and free), working across platforms like Circle and Facebook. You’ll also support the Programs Manager in creating thoughtful onboarding and offboarding experiences for our community members.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, creative, tech-savvy, and excited about building meaningful connections online.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Community Engagement & Management
- Manage and support day-to-day activities in Art2Life’s online communities (Circle, Facebook Groups, and WordPress comment sections)
- Prompt conversations and create engagement opportunities based on community trends and member needs
- Respond to member posts and comments with a warm, encouraging, and professional tone
- Identify opportunities to surprise and delight members and bring those ideas to the team
- Serve as the welcoming, front-facing presence on all membership live calls with a friendly and positive attitude, expertly managing chat support while seamlessly multitasking to provide hosts with assets needed during live sessions
Content Creation & Scheduling
- Develop weekly and monthly content calendars for our communities, in collaboration with the Programs team
- Draft community posts using your own voice and AI assistance, including teasers, prompts, announcements, celebrations, and support content
- Plan and write membership and program engagement emails to keep members and students informed, connected, and inspired (e.g., weekly roundups, reminders, celebration emails)
- Schedule content using tools inside Circle and Facebook (or use scheduling tools as needed)
Community Growth & Retention
- Track engagement metrics and member participation across platforms and report on their findings
- Brainstorm and implement initiatives to boost engagement, retention, and member satisfaction
- Collect community feedback through surveys, polls, and direct engagement
- Create and distribute surveys, analyze responses, and present key findings and suggestions for improving the community experience
- Identify and surface trends, common questions, or gaps in the community experience
Program Support
- Support onboarding and offboarding experiences for our programs
- Help refine automated and manual touchpoints to ensure members feel welcomed, informed, and supported throughout their experience
- Collaborate with the Programs Manager to implement community-focused enhancements
- Coordinate all aspects of guest collaborations, including outreach via email to creative contractors, managing scheduling logistics, and facilitating asset exchanges between team members
Platform & Tech Proficiency
- Have experience with navigating the backend and managing communities hosted on platforms like Circle (or similar), and Facebook
- Use tools and software such as Google Drive, Slack, Asana (or similar), Zoom, Loom, Airtable, Claude.ai, Chatgpt, WordPress, etc.
- Actively seek out and research new platform features, community management innovations, and emerging tools, regularly bringing solutions and enhancement opportunities for our existing communities while identifying potential new software or platforms that could elevate the member experience
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience managing online communities, ideally for a creative brand, online course, or membership program
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone to reflect the Art2Life voice
- Proficient using (and collaborating with) AI writing tools
- Proven ability to create engaging content and foster online participation
- Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
- Comfortable taking initiative while collaborating within a small team
- Located in the Pacific Time Zone (preferred)
