Ever feel like your confidence goes up and down when you’re making art?
This has always been a challenge for me, and years ago, it was a real big one. It almost took me out of the game a few times until I learned some things.
Back then, I’d be working really hard, everything would be going well, and then I’d burn out. I’d take a vacation, stop making art for a week or two, and feel amazing.
But then I’d come back to my studio, try to get back into it, and it would feel almost…foreign.
So I would do these desperate things—like call my gallery and make up some question, but really what I wanted to know was if anything had sold. Because clearly if I was selling my art, I was on the right track.
I was looking outside in the world for validation to get myself going again. I just needed a couple compliments, you know, just anything.
But here’s the lesson I learned: this confidence dip was happening when I wasn’t connected to my art.
And here’s the tip that changed everything for me—click below to watch today’s Sunday BLOOM, where I share exactly what I discovered about staying connected to your confidence, even with the smallest creative acts.
So here’s my question for you: What do you do when your creative confidence feels rocky? How do you get back into that flow?
Let me know in the comments after you watch today’s video.
And remember—you don’t need to be making art all day long for this to work. Sometimes just a little bit, even 10 minutes in a journal, can get you back in the rhythm.
Your art is waiting for you.

Nicholas
