Westerbeke Ranch cannot accommodate workshop attendees arriving prior to August 26th or leaving after August 31st.
When traveling to Sonoma, you have a few major airport options (San Francisco - SFO and Oakland - OAK). The check in time for the workshop is 4pm, so please consider this when booking your flight’s arrival time. For your departure time, please note that all workshop attendees must leave Westerbeke Ranch by 3:00pm on August 31st.
Workshop attendees are responsible for arranging their own transportation to Westerbeke Ranch. The trip from the airport to Westerbeke Ranch takes about 2 hours, depending on traffic.
Your workshop fee covers lodging and food at Westerbeke Ranch. The cuisine is cooked by a private chef booked specifically for this workshop, and made from the freshest locally sourced ingredients. Items taken from Cantina Honor bar must be paid individually by each workshop participant.
Westerbeke Ranch offers shared accommodations in charming and comfortably furnished redwood cabins. Delightful paths lead to the cabins, which are nestled in the gardens above the pool area. Each cabin has its own bathroom and private entrance, and is appointed in a fashion reminiscent of California’s Spanish colonial past. Then there are the amenities available at Westerbeke – a swimming pool, hot tub, massage, stunning hiking trails, plenty of sun lit and shaded benches to relax on, and of course some of the most delicious authentic homemade cuisine available in the Bay Area, made with the best locally sourced ingredients. Also not to be missed is Westerbeke’s selection of Sonoma wines.
Be certain to bring a headlamp or flashlight to walk around the property after sundown, as well low-heeled, flat rubber soled shoes for uneven surfaces.
There is also internet in the common areas, but none in the bedrooms.
The main workshop meeting room is air conditioned. The cabins do have ceiling fans, but no air conditioning units.

The schedule below represents an average workshop day at Westerbeke Ranch. Please note that while this is the schedule for the workshop, nothing is exactly set in stone. We have some flexibility with mealtimes to fit in with the workshop program but our typical schedule is as follows…
9:30am to 1:00pm: Workshop
1:00pm to 2:00pm: Lunch
2:00pm to 3:00pm: Break
3:00pm to 7:00pm: Workshop
7:00pm to 9:00pm: Dinner
9:00pm onwards: After hours optional studio time
One of the hallmarks of any Art2life workshop is the Art Kit. All workshop participants will receive their own Art2Life Workshop Art Kit which will be waiting for you at the ranch.. The kit contains everything you need including a set of 21 custom-made fluid acrylic colors, gloss medium, twelve 12″ x 12″ panels, a set of 8 brushes of various sizes, a painting tray, tracing paper pad, sandpaper, scouring pad, pencil, and a 2-pocket apron. And the best part about the Art Kit is that it’s yours to keep once the retreat concludes! Feel free to bring any additional supplies of your choice.
COVID-19 and Vaccination Policy. Westerbeke Ranch requires proof of a Covid-19 vaccination, or proof of recovery from Covid-19. If you are not fully vaccinated due to health, medical or religious reasons, Westerbeke Ranch then requires documentation of a negative PCR COVID-19 test result 72 hrs prior to arrival from an authorized test provider.
The workshop participant is also responsible for consulting your country of origin's specific requirements for returning home.
Art2Life reserves the right to make, in its sole discretion, changes to our Covid & Vaccination Policy in order to comply with third party requirements, including but not limited to the following: CDC Guidelines, the Workshop venue guidelines, travel restrictions (imposed by the airline or country), and vaccination requirement updates. Notwithstanding the foregoing, participants and employees shall be solely responsible for complying with any and all rules, guidelines and regulations prior to, during and following the Workshop, including but not limited to imposed quarantine, face coverings, restrictions and necessary permissions.
In the event of circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to pandemic, acts of government, or weather events, Art2Life reserves the right to cancel or postpone this Workshop in its sole discretion, and shall not be held liable for any failure to perform or delay. A2L will transfer any payments made by participants to a future Workshop of equal value, or provide participants with the option to receive a refund in full.
During the Workshop, A2L will adhere to then-applicable Covid-19 guidelines. Participants and employees shall hold A2L, its owners, agents and representatives, harmless in the event of any Covid-19-related illness, liability, cost or claim, including but not limited to medical care required during or after the Workshop.
There are three rooming options at Westerbeke Ranch, double, triple and quadruple. Double occupancy rooms have two twin beds, triple occupancy rooms have three twin beds, and quadruple occupancy rooms have four twin beds. The cost breakdown for these three rooming options is as follows:
Double Occupancy Room: $3,000
Triple Occupancy Room: $2,700
Quadruple Occupancy Room: $2,400
Please note that the deposit is due upon workshop sign up. Your deposit is 1/3rd of the total workshop fee and is non-refundable, unless we can your spot is filled by another attendee.
2nd payment - 30 days after signing up (1/3rd of the total workshop fee).
3rd and final payment - 60 days after signing up (remaining balance).
The workshop fee must be paid in full prior to the start of the workshop. All payments are non-refundable (unless the workshop is sold out and your spot is filled by another attendee – once the new attendee has paid in full, your refund will take up to 30 days to process).
